Board of Directors - Officers

Treasurer

The Treasurer

 

Shall receive and have custody of all monies and securities of the corporation, shall pay such dividends as may be required of him/her by the board of directors, and such other duties as usually devolve upon such officers. The directors may require the treasurer to give such security for the faithful performance of his/her duties as they shall from time to time determine. The treasurer may appoint, with approval of the board, a qualified fiscal agent or member of the staff to assist in performance of all or part of the duties of treasurer.

Key Credentials and Personal Qualities

  • Degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or its equivalent

  • 5-10 years successful leadership experience at a social impact organization

  • Commitment to results; 'can-do" mindset with emphasis on accountability

  • Experience at change leadership and change management

  • Strong motivational and staff leadership abilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Sense of humor, integrity, impeccable work ethic

  • Knowledge of Office Suite and Excel required

Secretary

The Secretary

Shall attend all sessions of the board of directors and record all votes and the minutes of all proceedings in books to be kept for that purpose and shall perform like duties for communities when required. He/she shall give or cause to be given any notice required to be given of any meetings of the board of directors, and shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the board of directors, under whose supervision he/she shall be. The secretary shall have the care and custody of the books of the corporation and the seal of the corporation and shall affix the same to all instruments requiring such seal, when authorized by the board of directors, or other duly authorized officials of the corporation.

Volunteer Staff

Marketing Manager

and 3 Program Marketers

Work closely with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to successfully market the organization and all it's programs.  This includes print and social media, and may also include radio and television.  Each theatre troup has it's own Program Marketer, reporting up to the Marketing Manager.

Bookkeepper

Reconcile daily transactions between bank accounts Quick-Books and interface with the organizations accounting firm.  Work closely with the Treasurer to insure timely delivery of financial statements, tax documents and budgets.

Fundraising Chair (3)

Each theatre troupe is to have it's own fundraising chair that works closely with the Fundraising Manager to insure effective fundraising efforts that benefit each troupe individually, and the company as a whole.

Director-At-Large

A Director shall assist the Officers of the corporation and assist in determining the corporation's strategic objectives and policies are being met. Monitor progress towards achieving the objectives and policies of the corporation. Voting on appointing Board Members, hiring Independent Contractors, and employees. Accounting for the Corporation's activities to relevant parties.

Key Credentials and Personal Qualities

  • Degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or its equivalent

  • 5-10 years successful senior leadership experience at a social impact organization

  • Commitment to results; 'can-do" mindset with emphasis on accountability

  • Experience at change leadership and change management

  • Strong motivational and staff leadership abilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Sense of humor, integrity, impeccable work ethic

  • Knowledge of Office Suite and Excel required
